On October 14th, 2023, an annular solar eclipse passed over large parts of the United States. The “ring of fire eclipse” lasted only a few minutes, and while it lacks the drama that a total eclipse provides, brothers and friends traveled to witness this rare, but fun, celestial event!
Triangle has several alumni with interests in the stars, hosting a quantity of both physics degree holders and astronomical enthusiasts. More than one Oklahoma Triangle has a telescope (or has worked for NASA), and these events create fun opportunities for us to share our passions about science outside of the classroom.
We look forward to witnessing a similar event on April, 8th 2024 for the Total Eclipse (in either the Austin or Dallas area)
